Research

Makerere University Walter Reed Project (MUWRP) scientists and partners have made many contributions to public health in Uganda, including studies on vaccines for HIV and Ebola/Marburg, surveillance of other emerging infectious disease threats, and successful completion of HIV cohort and vaccine studies.

MUWRP staff members have presented posters and abstracts at international and national conferences on MUWRP’s various research activities around HIV and Ebola and have a number of publications in high impact scientific journals

The MUWRP laboratory is committed to research and to promoting sustainability of research within the project by supporting young and early career scientists.
